COAHSI is seeking panelists for arts in education grants coming up in early 2012!
These grants support residencies and classes by artists of various disciplines in school settings, that address state learning standards. The panelists’ work involves reviewing up to 20 applications of 4-5 pages each, along with support materials; and attendance at a decision-making meeting lasting approximately 3 hours. Interested applicants should send resumes to kkuwabara(at)statenislandarts.org outlining relevant artistic, educational, and/or community experience.
Arts Investment Regrant 2012
Arts Investment Regrants will support art-learning experiences for pre-K through 12 students, through residencies with artists and/or cultural organizations. Applications must be received by: 5:00pm, January 24, 2012.

ABC (Arts Bring Change) Regrant 2012 Average grant size $2,000; Maximum request $2,500
The ABC (Arts Bring Change) Grant program is a local arts-in-education
funding program offering support for partnerships between schools and
teaching artists and/or cultural organizations that focus on the interdisciplinary
or integrated study of the arts and non-arts subjects. ABC Grants are
available to all public, private, parochial or charter schools, pre-K
thru 12, located in Staten Island. This program is funded and supported
by the Local Capacity Building (LCB) Initiative at the Arts-in-Education
Program at the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA).
Past COAHSI Arts in Education Regrants In the past, COAHSI has awarded the GAINS Award, created to recognize outstanding arts programs in schools, and Wish List Grants, small grants for schools and educators to support the creation of arts-centered learning experiences in schools. These programs were supported by The Staten Island Foundation, which is currently funding the Arts Investment Regrants for Schools, COAHSI’s largest Arts in Education grants to date.
