The Noble Maritime Collection is a maritime museum and study center at Snug Harbor Cultural Center. John A. Noble (1913-1983), is a maritime artist who chronicled the last chapter in the Age of Sail. The museum features Noble’s work along with New York Harbor history, and the history of Sailors’ Snug Harbor. We have transformed the sailors’ rooms into inspiring classrooms, furnished with art, maps, and maritime artifacts. Our programs use drama, art and music to enhance school curriculum.
