Scholarship for Students
The Council on the Arts and Humanities for Staten Island (COAHSI) is now accepting applications for the LEGEND Award for High School Artists. The award is open to students living on Staten Island in grades 9 through 12. The deadline to enter is February 1, 2012. The award is made possible by Sharon and Mark Voto of LegendBusinessGroup.
The award was conceived by Sharon Voto as a way to recognize the talents of local young visual artists and give them financial support to help them achieve their goals. There will be three awards: $500 top award, $250 runner-up, and $100 for 2nd runner-up!

Excellence in the Arts Award
Staten Island based artists whose disciplines are: music, theatre, dance, film, public art, or performance art, can apply for the 2012 Excellence in the Arts Awards. There will be eight $1,000 awards; four for music and four for public art/performance art. These awards are intended to celebrate the bodies of work of Staten Island artists as well as to celebrate their artistic development.

LUMEN -- now in its THIRD year!
LUMEN 2012, is a cutting-edge video art and projection festival featuring site-specific video installations, 3D-video technology, sound-based performances, and art interventions by artists around the globe.
We are currently accepting applications from emerging artists, groups, or organizations from Staten Island interested in participating in LUMEN 2012. The call is open to new media, video art, installation, or performance-based projects.
