Technical Assistance

Professional development and technical assistance from COAHSI includes information, advice and access to our research library. From basic questions such as referrals to local venues and professional services, to the more complex issues of fundraising, marketing and audience development, COAHSI can help. If we don't have the answers to your questions, we can usually refer you to someone who does. Assistance is offered through:

  • Consultations
Available to both organizations and individuals.
  • INFO Sheets
A new series of concise and practical leaflets on such topics as writing proposals; documenting and marketing projects; local media contacts and more.
  • Assistance in Marketing (AIM)
2006 grant recipients will benefit from an exciting new service offered by COAHSI called AIM or Assistance In Marketing. Through the AIM program, COAHSI will assist in assembling a marketing plan to promote your event/art/exhibit. Services provided include a private consultation with Erika Hellstrom, COAHSI’s Director of Community Marketing & Membership Relations. Grantees will meet with Erika to review or establish a marketing strategy, assessing vital components along the way. Among services offered, grant recipients will receive a personalized media distribution list, which includes print, television, web, and radio contacts to send calendar listings, radio PSAs and press releases. Please note that the services offered are of a consulting nature only. COAHSI will not write, create, or distribute any materials for you. We offer the AIM service to help you identify the proper leads, proofread, design custom tactics to get your message out, and guide you through the sometimes overwhelming tasks of marketing and promoting.

By taking advantage of this special service, you can boost your audience development and successfully promote your event/art/exhibit. We encourage you to register for a free AIM consultation by signing-up today or calling Erika Hellstrom at 718-447-3329.

  • Resource files
Information for arts and cultural organizations and individuals, on such topics as running an arts festival or long term planning for nonprofits.
  • Workshops, Panel Discussions and Seminars
Topics range from the philosophical to the practical.
  • Artist Registry
COAHSI maintains an Artist Registry. We use it to contact artists when we learn of appropriate opportunities. We hear about new opportunities everyday! Some may be right for YOU!
